 Rajput Dussehra, an important festival for the Rajput warrior as he worships his horse and all his weapons on Dussehra. On the day before Dussehra, the Rajput celebrates his devoted and valiant steed, his most powerful symbol.

Dussehra or VijayaDashami is also called Bada Dashain in Nepal.  Shami Puja is the ritual which is followed in Nepal and Mewar on the ocassion of Dusshera. Ritual should be performed at the time of Apharan. Shami puja is performed on the occasion of Dasara at specific time or muhurat. It is the tradition followed by the Rajput community people.
